200 Amp Fuses

Fuses across all classes, including Class H, Class J, Class RK5 and more, can qualify as 200 amp fuses. As a general purpose fuse, a 200 amp fuse is found across all sectors for light and medium duty circuits. Available in both 250V and 600V ratings, 200 amp fuses are used for applications as small as lighting circuits, and as heavy as motor and transformer loads. Depending on the class, 200 amp fuses are available in time delay and fast acting versions and can either be current limiting or non-current limiting.

200 amp fuses can be either fast acting or time delay dual element fuses, but they are always a dual element fuse. As a dual element fuse, 200 amp fuses are able to provide a higher level of short circuit and overload protection while also being more compact in size, giving you more space to work with in your panel. Dual element fuses also allow less residual current through in overload situations, making them a popular choice for motor circuits. They are also said to be more safe by reducing the potential for arc flashes.
