GE Spectra RMS Circuit Breakers – Replacement Options

GE Spectra RMS circuit breakers are no longer in production and are now considered obsolete in many facilities. For contractors maintaining existing Spectra panelboards and switchboards, the modern replacement solution is the ABB Tmax XT molded case circuit breaker platform. Following ABB’s acquisition of GE’s electrification business, ABB developed Tmax XT retrofit kits specifically designed for GE Spectra equipment, allowing upgrades without a full panel replacement. We also offer used versions of these breakers in many cases (search our site for model numbers).

These retrofit kits are engineered to fit existing Spectra RMS installations while providing the performance, protection, and availability of ABB’s current production breaker line. This approach helps extend the life of installed equipment while improving reliability and simplifying future maintenance.

As an authorized ABB distributor, Bay Power supplies ABB Tmax XT breakers and Spectra retrofit kits with fast availability and competitive contractor pricing. Our team can assist with identifying the correct replacement breaker or retrofit solution for your existing Spectra RMS installation. Contact us for a quote or to discuss project and volume pricing.
